Fitout By Compass Custom Creations
SYS-Roll, Systainer³ Sortainer, Leather ToolBag, Festool Systainer
As a site-based carpenter, my tool kit is constantly evolving. For the past year, this has been my primary tool load-out. Using drawers for my most frequently used tools saves me from constantly stacking and unstacking Systainers. My load out is made up of a Festool SYS-Roll with a Drawer-Systainer III on the bottom, a Systainer3 Sortainer/2 M 337 in the middle and an Occidental Master Carpenter Bag on top.
In the large drawer of the Sortainer/2, I store my Festool CXS and TPC18/4 QuaDrive drills with Jacobs & Centrotec chucks, as well as right-angle attachments, all fitted in Kaizen foam. In the smaller top drawer, I have a pair of half-height FORG3D trays for drill bits and other small items. Two-thirds of the top drawer has a shop-built grid at the bottom to hold assorted bits underneath my Festool Drill Bit sets.
The bottom Sortainer and SYS-Roll drawer hold all my other small tools, along with a wide selection of marking and measuring tools.
I load additional Systainers on top of the Sortainer/2 as needed. I just ordered the new CombiBox and anticipate it becoming a regular part of my stack. The SYS-Roll will easily carry a Festool Guide Rail either on the side or between the handle and the Systainer stack.
I have been using this particular SYS-Roll for nearly 10 years, and it has held up superbly. The SYS-Roll is easy to load into my van, even when fully loaded. The rub strips on the back make it easy to take up steps. With two large rear wheels and two locking swivel wheels on the front, it can be pushed one-handed across smooth floors. I push or pull it like a hand truck on rougher surfaces.
One system. For everything. For everyone. Systainer USA.
