Systainer in the Engine Room

I live on a 40’ trawler. I’ve wrestled with tool storage forever but, I’m thrilled with how this one little project turned out.

I mounted a Systainer³ M Lid in the engine room. Upon this I placed a Sortainer/3 M 337.

I used a Dremel to get a snug fit on the shelf, padded with toolbox liner underneath to reduce vibration, then through bolted to the shelf. It stays put but I can remove it if needed.
