Inspiration for Your Systainer Fitouts

Bridge City’s Chopstick Master turns a square blank into a tapered, octagonal chopstick. It is a lovely thing, and it is also a jig made almost entirely of small loose parts: an anodised track, a block plane, wedges, thumbscrews, a stop, a cloth bag, and the blanks themselves.

That is the kind of kit that ends up in three drawers.

Anthracite Systainer³ M 112 open on a table, its Kaizen foam cut with individual pockets for the Bridge City Chopstick Master track, block plane, purple thumbscrews, a cloth bag and chopstick blanks

Hunter’s answer was an anthracite Systainer³ M 112 and a sheet of Kaizen foam, with a pocket cut for every element of the kit — the long track along the back, the plane and the fittings in their own recesses, the blanks slotted down the side.

The same M 112 seen from the end, showing how the Chopstick Master track runs the full length of the foam with the plane and fittings in separate pockets below

Everything travels together, which for a jig like this is the whole point. Nothing is useful on its own.

One system. For everything. For everyone.
