From Pickup to a Van

Fitout By Compass Custom Creations

Ford Transit, Workvan

After many years of working out of a pickup I upgraded to a Ford Transit. In the pickup I found that I was always moving tools around and crawling around in the back to find things. I also found that I could not carry materials AND tools at the same time.

I acquired a van to solve the problem of hauling materials AND tools at the same time. My racking system is designed to hold tools in Tanos Systainers on the drivers side and odd shaped tools on the curb side in a bank of drawers and a series of large cubbies. The front box holds my work tables and other supplies. The van is equipped with an electric system that allows me to charge batteries and power the interior lights.
