A Kreg Edge in a Sky Blue Systainer³ M 237

Kreg, Systainer³ M 237, Sky Blue Systainer, Kaizen Foam, Battery Storage, Woodworking

The Kreg Edge is a new loose tenon joiner. Until now, you would grab a Festool Domino. The Edge ships with a foam insert but no case, though Kreg designed the foam to fit in a Systainer³ M 237.

This user had never owned a systainer before this one.

This is actually my first systainer. I came across them through several woodworking YouTube channels I follow, and they always looked pretty great. I recently purchased the Kreg Edge, and Kreg suggested using a systainer to store and organize it, so I figured I’d give one a try.

The case is a sky blue Systainer³ M 237, which is about as close to Kreg’s blue as a systainer gets.

A second layer for the battery and charger

The Kreg insert holds the tool and its accessories, and nothing else. The Edge is cordless, so the 20V battery and the charger needed a home too.

The same sky blue M 237 with a black Kaizen foam layer in it, with pockets cut for the Kreg Blue Ion charger with its coiled cord, a 20V battery and the narrow stock guide

A sheet of Kaizen foam on top of the Kreg Edge insert takes care of that: pockets for the charger, the battery and the narrow stock guide, with the cord coiled in between.

I also purchased the Kaizen foam to have the battery and charger in the case. Everything fits great! Might have to get some other systainers for my other tools that I have without cases.

One system. For everything. For everyone.
