Alexander sprays for a living — Alexpainting is his professional airless painting business — and he designs and prints the parts that hold his kit together. We saw the drawer inserts he makes in A Painter’s Spray Guns in a Sortainer³; this is the same habit applied to the outside of the stack.

Everything that normally ends up loose in the van has a printed home here. The hose coils onto a pair of green brackets on the side of the dust extractor stack. The nozzles and vacuum accessories clip into printed holders mounted down the same face, at the end of the hose that actually needs them. A brush nozzle sits up on its own post, and the brackets carry his own branding, printed right into the part.

The reason to mount all of it to the stack rather than to a wall is that the stack is what moves. A Systainer³ on top of the extractor already travels as one unit; adding the hose and the nozzles to that unit means nothing gets left behind at the last job.

Other ways this could be accomplished

A 3D printer is not the only route. Another submitter’s hose strap on a dust extractor stack solves the same problem with an eyelet, a carabiner and a storage strap, and off-the-shelf mounts like FORG3D’s SYS-FIT Hose & Cord Hanger do it without any making at all.
