Two Stacks, Ready to Roll for Installs

An install pack has a harder job than a shop stack. It has to hold everything the job needs, survive being rolled in and out of a van, and still tell you at a glance what is missing before you drive away.

I’ve been using systainers through for about 7 years now. Started through Festool tools, we now use them for our install packs, nothing beats this system!

Two stacks do the work. Both sit on wheeled bases, so the kit moves as two units rather than as a pile of independent toolboxes.

The consumables live in Sortainer drawers with labels on the fronts — drill bits, driver bits, impact bits, hole saws, felt pads. One drawer, one category, and an empty slot is visible without unstacking anything. A red-banded Lamello case rides in the second stack, which is the nice thing about the systainer standard: the joinery tool arrives in its own maker’s case and still stacks with everything else.

Three Milwaukee M12 tools lie flat in a single drawer — a drill, a hydraulic driver, and an installation driver with its swappable chuck heads parked in the compartment behind them. The heads are the part that usually goes missing, and here they never leave the drawer the tool lives in.
